The illusion bodice holds you in place and the skirt is light despite its volume. The skirt has more fullness in the back due to the pleating, so from the front you will still have your shape. This dress has pockets which made for some chic and fun wedding photos! The skirt is blush with white hand painted florals on it - the design on the skirt is subtle yet makes the dress so unique. The lace on the bodice is modern and elegant and the back has silk buttons all the way down, for a timeless look. The buttons have a zipper under them, so no need to worry about buttoning the whole thing up. Alterations: When I had the dress custom made, I had fabric added to the front to cover my chest. Originally, the lace is all that goes over your chest making the dress quite revealing. Adding the fabric kept the deep V in the front, but added some opaque coverage over the chest. Once I received the dress, all I did was have the sides taken in maybe half an inch and hem the dress! Barely anything was done to this dress once I received it from the designer.This dress was the very first dress that I tried on and it was by far the most comfortable after comparing it to almost 20 gowns.
