Ivory silk dupion mermaid dress with tulle and lace neckline plus cap sleeves. Silk dupion buttons enclose the illusion back and continue to the edge of the train. This dress was altered by a professional tailor who only alters/creates wedding dresses in Burlington, Vermont. The cap sleeves were adjusted to increase the range of motion in the arms, the bust and waist were decreased a bit, and the train was shortened from the original chapel-length to a more manageable length. A ballroom bustle was added which is the least visible bustle variety, and the most expensive to create. A ballroom bustle flips the train under the skirt where it's attached underneath with a series of buttons to create one length without any visible bustle. The train is about 14 inches at the longest. It's a fairly thick dress that kept me warm for a fall wedding. I'm 5'4'' and wore 5'' heels.
